Albert House

In 2005, ISE Consultants has supported the Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) of the Hong Kong SAR Government to resolve a complex multi-party building management dispute by mediation – The Albert House Case.

In 1994, a canopy of the Albert House, located at Aberdeen of Hong Kong SAR, collapsed and caused one death and fourteen injured. Claims were made against the parties who were held responsible for the incident, which involved over 100 owners. 11 court actions were filed and the multi-million case had been dragged on for more than 11 years. It was finally resolved in 2005 by Mr. Chan Bing Woon SBS, JP and Mr. Roy Cheng using Mediation. Their contribution were acknowledged by Dr. Patrick Ho, the Secretary for Home Affair of HKSAR, at the Legislative Council.
